Greetings fellow adventurers!
I started this blog in 2014 with the goal of improving my writing and sharing some of my adventures with friends, family and other like minded people. I’m not sure I’ve improved my writing that much yet, but it has been fun sharing some of my most memorable events from the last few years!
My goal for 2015 is to post at least one story each month, and to include more exploration and motorcycling adventures along with the diving stories. My long term plan is to write a book about two of our local shipwrecks – something I hope this blog will ultimately help with.
The feedback I get via this blog really helps to motivate and drive me on, so please follow and share if you like what you’re reading. Constructive feedback is also welcomed.
Here’s to a great 2015.
Welcome to my website & blog which will be updated with stories, photographs & videos from my various adventures.
Most of the content (though not all!) will involve two of my favourite passions – diving and photography. I learned to dive in 2002 and it’s been an important part of my life since then. It’s not just about the diving; but the skills you learn along the way, the friends you make, and the journeys you take. It was through diving that I started taking photographs, and I’ve been learning ever since how to take pictures underwater in challenging UK conditions.
I’m a BSAC Advanced Diver & Open Water Instructor. I’m also qualified to PSA ‘Expedition Trimix’ level (75m) using the rEvo Closed Circuit Rebreather (CCR). Most of my photos are taken using a Canon 500D SLR camera.
I have also recently learned to ride a motorbike, and have been fortunate enough to find another great group of people to share ‘off road’ adventures with.
Videos are a combination of SLR, Sony HD & GoPro footage edited on an iMac with Final Cut Pro X
I hope you enjoy some of the tales contained here, please feel free to leave comments and feedback.
